Our Staff Recognition Program recognizes the extraordinary contributions made by teachers and staff every day to improve the lives of students in Lake Havasu City. We invite community members, parents, colleagues, and students to nominate a teacher or support staff member who they feel deserves this special recognition.
Each school site will form a school-based committee and determine a Teacher of the Year (TOY) based on the nominations. Of those teachers, one will be named the LHUSD Teacher of the Year. Additionally, a Rookie Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Member of the Year will be selected annually by nomination and determined by a district-based committee.
Please note that Rookie and Support staff are selected at the district level only. The district Teacher of the Year is chosen from the site winners.
The online nomination phase will open January 17, 2023 – February 22, 2023.
